Partners in Education

Thank you to all who partner with North Hills:

Choice Lunch is convenient, healthy, flexible, and offers you full control and variety for your child. Founded in 1974 Choice Lunch serves over 300 schools throughout California. They use whole ingredients sourced responsibly from trusted partners. Choice Lunch sources fresh antibiotic-free chicken and beef, and avoids anything artificial or processed, especially added nitrites, HFCS (high fructose corn sugar), artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors, and hydrogenated oils. In the past year, every facet of campus operations has required a logistical assessment to ensure safe “best practices” in this pandemic environment. School lunch was no exception, and Choicelunch spent last spring re-thinking lunch and charted the course for how to most effectively operate a school lunch program this year and beyond. This has lead to the A La Carte program. Choicelunch packs each student's bag with the sides ordered, condiments, utensils, and napkin, for easy distribution. You can take full control of ordering lunch with their easy-to-use, customizable, contactless, A La Carte program.

CCSC is designed to enhance the Christian educational experience of teachers, students, parents, and school community through tuition scholarships and awards, professional development, and student opportunities. DeepRoots is dedicated to equipping students with a biblical worldview by helping them realize the truth of God’s design for human beings. Studying worldview in conjunction with apologetics, students can grow more confident in Christ. They will be able to care for other people by answering their objections to Christianity and offering them reasons that support the truth.

Each school year, students add on to their learning from previous years. Starting with observational exercises in kindergarten and continuing through the older grades, students learn the three steps of Inductive Bible Study:

  • Observation: Students learn to carefully observe God’s Word and ask the question, “What does it say?”
  • Interpretation: Students explore the historical, cultural, and theological context of the passage, asking, “What does it mean?”
  • Application: Students think through how to apply the truth to their own lives by asking, “What should I do?”

DeepRoots students learn this method step by step in an age-appropriate manner, preparing them to mature in their faith and carry their study of God’s Word from the classroom into their home. Here’s how each step relates to each grade:

  • Kindergarten: Soft introduction—Students learn to underline important words in the verse.
  • 1st Grade: Students learn to observe carefully and ask “What does the verse say?”
  • 2nd Grade: Students explore the context and ask, “What does the verse mean?”
  • 3rd Grade: Students apply God’s Truth and ask, “What should I do?”
  • 4th and 5th Grade: All three steps are brought together as students practice studying God’s Word.
